What to expect, step by step
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Here’s exactly what happens, from the first message to the first session and beyond.
Confidential. In person or online. No pressure to continue.
-
Reach out
Book a time online, send a WhatsApp message, or call. Just say whether it’s for you or for you both, and whether you’d like to meet in person or online. No need to explain anything personal yet.
-
Choose a time
Pick a slot that suits you. Times are shown in your own time zone, which helps if you live abroad. You’ll get a confirmation with directions to the clinic or a private video link.
-
Your first session (60 minutes)
You talk about what brought you, in your own words. Sammyaka asks some gentle questions to understand your situation and what you’d like to change. Together you agree what to work on, and you decide whether it feels right.
-
Continuing, if you choose
Most people meet weekly or every two weeks at first, then less often. You can pause, change the pace or stop at any time. There’s no contract.
Before an in-person session
- The clinic is at CV Raman Road, Armane Nagar, Bengaluru 560080 (map)
- Arrive a few minutes early to settle in
- Bring nothing but yourself. A notebook is welcome if you like writing things down
Before an online session
- Find a quiet, private room where you won’t be overheard
- Use headphones if you can, and charge your device
- Open the video link a couple of minutes before the time
For clients in India and abroad.
Many people join online, from other cities or other countries. Booking shows times in your own time zone, alongside India time, so it’s easy to find a slot that fits your day.
Sessions take place on a secure video call. Nothing is recorded.

Good to know.
Can I have sessions online if I live outside India?
Yes. Many clients join online from other cities and countries. Booking shows times in your own time zone, and you’ll get a private video link before each session. Fees for clients abroad are shared in your currency when you get in touch.
Is online therapy as good as in person?
For many people, yes. What matters most is feeling safe and heard. For online sessions, find a quiet, private place, use headphones if you can, and keep a glass of water nearby.
What if I need to cancel or move a session?
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice by WhatsApp or phone, and we’ll find another time.
What if I need urgent help?
This service is not for emergencies. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 112 in India, or your local emergency number if you are abroad. For free mental health support in India, call Tele-MANAS on 14416, any time.
When you’re ready, the first step is a message.
Book a time that suits you, or send a short note on WhatsApp. In person in Bengaluru, or online wherever you are.
